Poem of the Week

Dancing Laughing Eyes

I remember your eyes tight shut,
Too new to see the world.
Your eyes now shine in wonder,
At all the world has to offer.
I remember making you laugh,
Jiggling you on my knee.
Now you make your own mirth,
Revelling in joyous days.
I remember dancing around,
You were snuggled in my arms.
Now you glide across the floor,
A knee slide a speciality.
My prince on his very own quest,
The years slip sliding by.
What a handsome young man you are,
All of seven and one quarter.

Poem of the Week - Last Week

Happy Christmas

Christmas is coming,
It's not far now!
Last year I was on it,
Organized was my middle name!

This year not so,
The tree is still in the box,
The presents not wrapped,
I need to up my game!

I love eagerly waiting,
For the post to arrive.
A mini pre-Christmas,
Anticipation aflame.

We will get on it,
Festive it will be,
Relax into Christmas,
Happy Christmas without being lame!

A Poem Started by Scarlett Moffatt

There was a little woman,
Who had a toad on her head,
And a spider, an eel and crab.
What a brave woman she is,
Funny, smart and a laugh,
Six stars she managed to grab!
